31/08/2018 - Diet Diary - Midnight has come and gone so officially, it is September. I had a diet breakdown today. Ate far more than intended although I do not think I exceeded my 1879 calorie maintenance level, I went well above my goal intake of 1100. I tell myself I won't let it bother me, now and then there will be slips but tomorrow when I see the scales I will respond differently. I and the diet will survive it however.

FitWatch says for moderate rate of loss, I can have 1370 calories a day so I am running well below that most days. Today, probably not! Oh well, tomorrows report will be better.

You and I are on the same calorie schedule. I try to stay between 1100-1400 C a day. As long as I'm below 1800-1900 I'm losing. My aim is only for 2#/mo, so I don't have to be perfect every day, but I DO have to stay under 1800. Community picnic on Sat... that means trouble. Too many temptations.

We all have occasional lapses. What is important is not letting it upset you and send you off-track. If the overall trend is down, then a slight blip is not serious.

Thanks! I'll do better tomorrow. I have a slip every once in a while but so far recovery was quick. Once in a while a "slip" is not a bad thing, it kind of helps me keep on track, as long as I don't let it take over.

Posted by OldMetalHeadThe hardest part for me is not falling back into old bad habits after meeting goals.

Posted by JonnaBononnaI had finally gotten back on track after gaining back most of the weight I lost a couple of years ago.

Posted by JurneeI have to say, as an overweight karate instructor, this is the one patch that I was ok with never getting.

Posted by DotLewis7 March 2020 - Diet Diary - Been quiet around here lately. I've not been on vacation, just keeping a low profile and trying to stay on top of things. Are those things incompatible?
