For anyone to share their diet day in a comment below.
Sometimes I'm late to make these, so please feel free to do so yourself. Just copy this preamble and change the date
I may follow @EdEarl s lead and go on holiday for a few days. I still have way too much junk food in the fridge but anticipate filling a couple plates to take on Xmas, depending on what I do. After that, the rest will be stored where it is not such a temptation. That will take a lot of pressure off. Day wasn't going terribly, was at around 1300 intake then after supper, hit the snack bowl and when you talk peanut brittle and peppermint bark it doesn't take much time or much volume to zoom that number up. Good thing this only comes around once a year.
There are of course other holidays that connect with food but few of them seem to inspire me to bake/make so much sugar filled junk. Will try to maintain a level of control over the next few days but as long as things don't get too extreme, I'm going to worry less about it than I will a week from now. Lucky (for the diet plan anyway) I'm not a drinker and have no plans for New Years other than hanging at home so won't be exposed to a lot of unusual food/drink choices. Hope you all have great holidays.
I'm still posting, just don't want to blab about my over eating. I'm pretty sure I'll put myself on a punishment diet soon; at least I have good intentions ATM, lol.
@EdEarl Yeah, I am still having good intentions every morning when I get up but by the time evening gets here and I think "I have leeway, I could have a 'snack' and still be fine" all good decision making ability seems to have gone out the window. One little piece of sweets quickly turns into a mini binge. There goes the good intentions!
