I'm gaining weight...
Well, if you had made it through Nov and Dec without gaining weight, unless you were actively dietIng, you would be very lucky or maybe should be concerned. With all the delectable offerings this time of year brings, not gaining weight takes working at it. This year I was willing to put in that work, (even so I gained a couple pounds) last year, when I had also been dietIng, I wasn't. Not a crisis though, I made up for it when I resumed dietIng.
Gaining some, especially during the holidays is neither a crisis nor a death sentence for your weight loss goals. Make a plan for resuming structured eating. Take into account what holiday fare you still have sitting around then decide how you will deal with it. Decided how you will "diet" and pick when you will start. Successful dietIng is largely in the mind! Committing to it mentally is the biggest hurdle. Support is vital so please come back, there are plenty of folks here who will offer encouragement.
@DotLewis it's not only the food , I'm also pregnant. ?
@Cutiebeauty Congratulations! Keep gaining. Not TOO much, just enough.
I'm still in the 'As soon as this pub closes ...' phase. Too many holiday leftovers still around.
For me, throwing away perfectly good food is as close as something comes to a sin. I've put most of what remains in either air tight containers or the freezer, which is in the basement. I find that I can resist this sort of thing as long as it is not quickly and easily accessible. If I have to think about going downstairs or into the guest room to get it, I have plenty of time to think about it and most of the time, tell myself I don't really need it. Of course there are times when I choose to indulge in some of these treats but then I have accounted for them and they don't ruin my plan for the day.
Good lick getting started! Just holler if you need someone to yell "You got this !"
Posted by OldMetalHeadI hit a new weight milestone this week. Still trying for the six-pack.
Posted by OldMetalHeadThe hardest part for me is not falling back into old bad habits after meeting goals.

Posted by JonnaBononnaI had finally gotten back on track after gaining back most of the weight I lost a couple of years ago.
Posted by JurneeI have to say, as an overweight karate instructor, this is the one patch that I was ok with never getting.

Posted by DotLewis7 March 2020 - Diet Diary - Been quiet around here lately. I've not been on vacation, just keeping a low profile and trying to stay on top of things. Are those things incompatible?
