25 Jan 2019 - Diet Diary- You know the drill.....
Started work on the cabinets today. Need another 2x4 to finish the base so will get that tomorrow. This house is 83 years old and there apparently was no abundance of levels in those days. The walls lean north, the floor tips east and the run of the wall shifts at the corners (poor plaster work most likely) so making these cabinets mesh with the house may be a bigger chore than expected. I put some in the bathroom previously, (below) the edge against a north wall so when leveled the cabinet moves gradually further from the wall as it goes up. Easier to hide in the corner of the bathroom than right out on the dining room wall. I have since painted the cabinets in the bathroom.
I did keep busy today, some cutting, lot of measuring, some graph work figuring out what I want to do. I kept calorie intake today at 983, very low and will only do it for one day at a time. Salt went way over though at 2400, big part from the canned tomato soup I had for supper, with saltines. The soup was much worse than the crackers. I don't eat canned soup very often, mostly keep chicken noodle on hand as my go to "comfort" and "sniff, sniff I'm sick" food.
Debating when to kick up to lose level and remembered I had set another short term goal on my FitWatch page after reaching my "winter goal". Went and checked and it was only a 5 pound loss and I am currently almost half way there but I set the goal date at February 15. So, if I'm going to meet my next short term goal, I'm going to have to start working on it soon. I'm getting close enough to my final goal that losing goes slow so a solid loss of a pound a week is great for me, it is often less than that now.
Guess I better get started, putting daily intake at no more than 1200. According to FitWatch, this should be an "aggressive" loss level for me, however I have found that after years of yo-yo dieting, including some drastic stuff, my metabolism is significantly slower than FW says. Intake to maintain my current weight, according to FW is 1745 but I've found if I go over 1500 for several days in a row, I will start gaining. Intermittent fasting again is called for, get the late night piecing stopped.
Posted by OldMetalHeadI hit a new weight milestone this week. Still trying for the six-pack.
Posted by OldMetalHeadThe hardest part for me is not falling back into old bad habits after meeting goals.

Posted by JonnaBononnaI had finally gotten back on track after gaining back most of the weight I lost a couple of years ago.
Posted by JurneeI have to say, as an overweight karate instructor, this is the one patch that I was ok with never getting.

Posted by DotLewis7 March 2020 - Diet Diary - Been quiet around here lately. I've not been on vacation, just keeping a low profile and trying to stay on top of things. Are those things incompatible?
