31 Jan 2019 - Diet Diary - Another month gone. Temperature in the 40's today. That is how the entire winter has gone this year, it will be up in the 40's-50's for a couple days, drop down to freezing, or below for a day or two then back up to "unseasonably warm" again. This is a region that historically got cold in the winter and except for a RARE day or two, stayed that way from Nov-March. Not necessarily frigid cold but under 32° most of the time. The last couple years, nothing know when to grow and when to be dormant. My lilacs are showing large leaf buds already, last year my pear tree was blooming 3 weeks early and of course that cost me most of the pear crop last year. It is crazy!!

That rant aside, I ate more today, coming in at almost 1400 calories but salt intake was good at 1700. Had a breakfast attack today, opened a box of raisin bran and ate about twice what I intended to. Not a crisis but Feb 15 is coming. Still 2.2 pounds from my Feb 15 goal. Have to curb my procrastinator tendencies, don't want to be trying to drop 2 pounds the last 2 days. Don't worry, if I don't make it, I won't try to "starve" the 2 pounds off in 48 hours. That doesn't work, might drop to the desired weight but the next time I eat, I will lose the goal. Getting cold now, off to turn on that blanket.

Posted by OldMetalHeadThe hardest part for me is not falling back into old bad habits after meeting goals.

Posted by JurneeI have to say, as an overweight karate instructor, this is the one patch that I was ok with never getting.

Posted by DotLewis7 March 2020 - Diet Diary - Been quiet around here lately. I've not been on vacation, just keeping a low profile and trying to stay on top of things. Are those things incompatible?
