30 March 2019 - Diet Diary - Darn, time got away from me, it is almost 3 AM. Yesterday went OK, ended right around 1200. Today I was going for under that 1200 mark but ended up closer to 1000. Cool! Will just see how tomorrow goes. For now, going to bed. Have a great day "tomorrow".
Keeping busy clearly keeps the calories down, too! Are you a vegetarian?
Well, mostly, unless you happen to be in and out of the alternative storage room for snacks while working so end up grabbing 2-3 snacks you didn't intend to have. Evenings are the worst, was at only about 800 calories at 8PM but then I was in the guest room, which is where some snacks have been stored while I work on these building projects and the frustrations with the day's work and a health issue of an old dog in my care seemed like a good excuse to grab a few pretzels and a fruit "delight" (mostly sugar, fortunately small and the last one) so it goes that way now and then.
I'm not vegan/vegetarian, although I don't eat a lot of meat, by American standards anyway, I do imbibe with some regularity. I'm not a "meat and potatoes" type eater, I prefer soups and casseroles, often containing some kind of meat but lots of other stuff as well. Baked stuff is my worst downfall. If I buy bread I can take 2 months to go through a loaf but if I bake bread it is like an irresistible force drawing me in. I gave up baking bread a couple years ago.
Of course bread pudding from bread that got too old even for toasting or pear, squash, rhubarb or banana bread, or green tomato cake, ooooh..... all things I pay for once I make them. I have gotten much better the last 2 years at parceling it out, giving some to friends and neighbors and putting the rest in the freezer in small servings so I can get out one slice/piece at a time without thawing. Dang, I better go to bed before I start to think too much about the snacks residing in my basement freezer. Another day!
Posted by OldMetalHeadI hit a new weight milestone this week. Still trying for the six-pack.
Posted by OldMetalHeadThe hardest part for me is not falling back into old bad habits after meeting goals.

Posted by JonnaBononnaI had finally gotten back on track after gaining back most of the weight I lost a couple of years ago.
Posted by JurneeI have to say, as an overweight karate instructor, this is the one patch that I was ok with never getting.

Posted by DotLewis7 March 2020 - Diet Diary - Been quiet around here lately. I've not been on vacation, just keeping a low profile and trying to stay on top of things. Are those things incompatible?
