24 April 2019 - Diet Diary - Well, I took the last couple days off. Seems that Sunday set off a bad pattern for a couple more days. I don't think I really went over yesterday but today, maybe the news isn't as good. Had a lot of things going on, trying to get the new threshold installed, had to remove door take some off the bottom of it, refinished the interior side of the door, FOUND the 9 missing tiles, right in the dining room, not 2 feet from where I was working putting down floor. All that did little to prevent me putting multiple little snacks/meals in my mouth.
So, 3 days off is quite enough. Tomorrow WILL go according to plan, back on the program. I am so close to my goal now, I will not be controlled by my urges and cravings. I am avoiding doing stuff I need to and sometimes eating becomes a diversion tactic. I really need to get some stuff sorted and out of my house. Clean-up week is next week, city will haul off anything. Also, Goodwill truck will be here next week so the usable stuff can be donated. Purging is just so challenging.
Frustration and irritation are among the worst triggers for extra snacks. It's particularly bad when you have something and then realise you didn't even enjoy it, so the calories are completely wasted. You come across as a strong character so I am sure you will take control again. Not far to go now, so if you want to get to your goal you will have to find those extra reserves. Sorting aned clearing out sounds like a good way forward. I am really looking forward to doing the same as soon as I can.
I do have to watch for the emotional triggers to eat. They can take over so easily, next thing I know I have had way more "snacks" than I had any intention of eating. That will be the hard part of maintenance, knowing when I've lapsed into emotional eating and putting a stop to it before it gets away from me. Getting rid of some excess junk would go a ways toward reducing triggers. Hope to clear up some of it this spring.
Posted by OldMetalHeadI hit a new weight milestone this week. Still trying for the six-pack.
Posted by OldMetalHeadThe hardest part for me is not falling back into old bad habits after meeting goals.

Posted by JonnaBononnaI had finally gotten back on track after gaining back most of the weight I lost a couple of years ago.
Posted by JurneeI have to say, as an overweight karate instructor, this is the one patch that I was ok with never getting.

Posted by DotLewis7 March 2020 - Diet Diary - Been quiet around here lately. I've not been on vacation, just keeping a low profile and trying to stay on top of things. Are those things incompatible?
