6 May 2019 - Diet Diary - Wet, cool day, no outside work other than a quick policing of the yard to clean after the dogs. Did look in on my squash, which I planted yesterday and they look happy enough. Sounds like the rest of the week will be off and on rainy and the region is having some horrific weather, hail, downpours, tornadoes. Kansas... only worse. I hear thunder now, guess that is the storm that was predicted for overnight.
Kept intake to around 1100 today after not such a great day yesterday. Still maintaining at under 144 though so haven't gone above the May 15 goal for the past 2 weeks. Need a little more diligence to get on track to hit my June 11 goal of 140 however.
Bedtime is nearing, only 1 hour til lights out and I would like to read a couple chapters in my book before that. Thunder is getting louder, dogs are not going to want to sleep tonight. This site is rather glitchy tonight.
I've been stuck at 146 for several weeks now. I have to cut more corners...make a portion smaller. I know it's my dinnner portions - embarrassed to detail them...but I'm writing this as a commitment/goal to inspire myself to go to the next level.....like you've said, @DotLewis.....a diet diary....thanks for the inspiration!
Hang in there, you will get "unstuck", it doesn't always come easy but it will. A "diet diary" can be a great tool, even if you just keep it on a private spot. Recording what you are doing or where you are slipping makes that more real. You can go to bed knowing you probably ate too much for supper but it is a thought and becomes subliminal very easily. Write it down! Log what you ate, what you think you ate too much of or even just that you know you overdid for the day. You won't "forget" what happened and if you get foggy on it, you can go back and read and then it is an "ah-ha" thing. "Ah-ha, the scales were not kind this week but on 3 days I recorded exceeding my desired intake"
Definitely feel free to post your daily record here or just pop in a post when you are feeling a need for a little incentive or encouragement. Some days it is even a little embarrassment. When I go way over where I want to be, I find it much harder to post, knowing that everyone can read that I was a slacker that day. That too can be a motivator.
@DotLewis Good advice. Thanks for your support!
Posted by OldMetalHeadI hit a new weight milestone this week. Still trying for the six-pack.
Posted by OldMetalHeadThe hardest part for me is not falling back into old bad habits after meeting goals.

Posted by JonnaBononnaI had finally gotten back on track after gaining back most of the weight I lost a couple of years ago.
Posted by JurneeI have to say, as an overweight karate instructor, this is the one patch that I was ok with never getting.

Posted by DotLewis7 March 2020 - Diet Diary - Been quiet around here lately. I've not been on vacation, just keeping a low profile and trying to stay on top of things. Are those things incompatible?
