20 May 2019 - Diet Diary - Well, I took yesterday off, schedule was way off as I had to be somewhere at 8 AM, which is before I usually get out of bed then weight bounced up 2 pounds, irritating me and I just didn't record anything for the day except my bowl of cauliflower soup for supper. Don't think I went way overboard, just didn't feel like messing with it yesterday. Not real worried, as long as I don't make a habit of it, not skipping multiple days in a row, it will work out. Weight today was back down to the previous day's number, schedule was back to normal.

However, it was a rainy day, very chilly, high for the day was around 43°, that is 50° lower than the high 3 days ago. That didn't make me real happy. Couldn't work outside except for briefly tucking up some of the iris I planted yesterday. Didn't go to exercise, it was blowing hard and raining shortly before and didn't want to take the neighbor out in it. Wasn't hard after that to talk myself out of going. Board meeting for Sr. Center was also canceled for weather so didn't have to go out except when I went over to have soup and garlic toast with the neighbor. Intake for the day was 1152, salt around 1835 so pretty good on that.

Oops, may have to add 20 to calorie count, really feeling the need for a late night cup of coffee w/ fat free 1/2&1/2. Need something HOT, can't get rid of the chill. I refuse to turn the furnace back on! Fer gawd's sake, it's freakin' MAY 20th!!!

Keep your spirits up. Spring really is here, it is just being a bit capricious. You are so close to your goal - it must be really frustrating.

Oh yes, capricious would be a conservative description. Tonight the forecast is for 36° low, I may weaken on my stance about turning the furnace back on. I took the electric blanket off last weekend, after the 92° day. After I finally get warm enough to sleep it isn't too bad but in the morning when I get up, I don't want to do anything because it is so chilly in the house. A facet of weight loss is you have less "insulation" and tend to be cold a lot more than before. This is at least the case for me. One other time that I lost a lot of weight, the only time in my adulthood that I weighed less than I do right now and one thing I really noticed was how cold I was all the time. Same now.

@DotLewis Interesting point about insulation. I am obese and constantly hot. I really hate hot weather - it makes me feel ill. My husband is underweight and painfully thin. He is always cold. I go around opening windows and he goes around after me, shutting them.
