4 July 2019 - Diet Diary - Got so caught up laughing at the ridiculous reports on the "big event" today (you know, the "show of a lifetime" ) that I almost didn't get here to post anything. Not good news anyway, was eating properly until late afternoon when I went to talk to the neighbor. She said "I'll pay if you go get supper". I tend to fold when she asks, she is 95, doesn't get around too well these days to go to restaurants so I went and got cheeseburgers and fries. Ate less than half an order of fries but all the burger. Would have still not been too bad but later had some yogurt and bagel crisps. Finished the day at 1430. Tomorrow I will cook the greens I picked today, planning to have them for supper, so it should go better. Now, need to go grab a couple more looks at the crazy!
I'm so proud of myself; I have to brag to you, Dot...
I actually came back from a party of mostly eating excess...and actually lost a tiny fraction of weight!
I stood on the scale this AM and expected at least a 1-2 pound gain.
But I did eat smart....only one stick (5 small pieces) of barbequed beef (kabab) a veggie Kabab (my efforts and contribution to the event) and some salads....and a piece of Amanda's birthday cake.
So I guess I shouldn't be that surprised....
But...brag/n/boast... I did it!
Excellent work. It is not easy to go to those eat fest events and maintain levels of intake that you would like. You did well, taking (and picking) vegis was a smart move. Hope my day goes as well tomorrow.
Posted by OldMetalHeadI hit a new weight milestone this week. Still trying for the six-pack.
Posted by OldMetalHeadThe hardest part for me is not falling back into old bad habits after meeting goals.

Posted by JonnaBononnaI had finally gotten back on track after gaining back most of the weight I lost a couple of years ago.
Posted by JurneeI have to say, as an overweight karate instructor, this is the one patch that I was ok with never getting.

Posted by DotLewis7 March 2020 - Diet Diary - Been quiet around here lately. I've not been on vacation, just keeping a low profile and trying to stay on top of things. Are those things incompatible?
