21 July 2019 - Diet Diary - Did better today, curtailed the snacking and kept track of everything. Didn't aim too high, given the past 2 days and was satisfied with my finish at 1127. Had kind of planned for 1100 limit but thought about 1200 so this was a good compromise. Tomorrow will shoot for 1100 and may start the day with a kale smoothie. Haven't made one lately and I have a ton of kale right now.

Scales did punish me but less than a 2 pound bounce and the last one, a bounce of unknown origin, was more than that and I didn't even enjoy it. At least this time, while munching away, I thought, "You KNOW you will pay for this!" Then decided if I was paying anyway, might as well have fun. This is kind of how it will be long term I think.

When I did maintenance before I would do well some days, not so much the next then when the scales bounced up, would tighten the limits for a few days to get back down. These "off" days are a quick lesson in why I can never stop being vigilant. The old habits are right there, just below the surface, waiting to rear up and snatch me back to the dark side. Noooooooooooo! I won't go!
