I fasted 24 hours yesterday before eating about 400 calories. I hope to repeat that today, but it would be a first, and my chances are slim based on past performance. However, if you don't try, your hope will die.
**Everyone can rest easy, I ate a small meal sometime between 2pm and 4pm.

I have to second @Robecology's concern. Don't overdo and set yourself back. Don't do the severe fasting more than a couple days in a row. Your body has already made some adjustments to a lower calorie intake but of it thinks you are suddenly in a massive famine, it will shut that metabolism down as far as it can, making it harder for you to lose. You are doing really well and you WILL get under 300, just keep it safe!
Agree, and will take care.
Be careful Ed. Don't get obsessed with the fasting thing....your body's organs can fail and put you in the E.R.com/hospital.
Get your basic nutrients....keep hydrated. Accept hunger, but don't worship it.
I agree. I've not fasted more than 24 hours previously, and if I do it again today, it is not easy to do two days in a row, but thought I'd try. I'd really like to get below 300 before mid September; besides, I'm walking again, a little, and will work up to typical walking. In the mean time, I'm being very careful with my knee and hip joints, because they have gotten tender. I know I'm pushing myself, for example 30 minutes a day of arm exercises to build heart endurance, but don't want to overdo it in any area, including fasting. Thanks for your concern.
Posted by OldMetalHeadI hit a new weight milestone this week. Still trying for the six-pack.
Posted by OldMetalHeadThe hardest part for me is not falling back into old bad habits after meeting goals.

Posted by JonnaBononnaI had finally gotten back on track after gaining back most of the weight I lost a couple of years ago.
Posted by JurneeI have to say, as an overweight karate instructor, this is the one patch that I was ok with never getting.

Posted by DotLewis7 March 2020 - Diet Diary - Been quiet around here lately. I've not been on vacation, just keeping a low profile and trying to stay on top of things. Are those things incompatible?
