6 Jan. 2020 - DIet Diary - Intake today under 1100 calories, weight down a little, was down more but popped up a little yesterday. Planning cauliflower soup tomorrow but may depend on the plumbing situation. Set about removing the old sink, found the old shut-off valves under the sink were shot and they started leaking and would not shut off the water. Hurried to lumberyard to get new ones, came home and after opening the crawlspace entry in the basement, found that the shut-off for the entire house was frozen in place.

Since I don't have the tool to shut off at that street, had to call a plumber. They will come and replace the valves tomorrow. Meanwhile, I am catching water under the sink and will have to get up every 2 hours during the night to empty the 5 gallon bucket under there. When I asked what odds were on "forcing" the main shut off a bit more, he laughed at me and that of course, gave me my answer so bucket it is. Old house blues I guess, hopefully it will not be horribly troublesome. I'm giving up for now, will have to be up early, don't know what time he will show up.

Cauliflower soup? I realize it's not the main topic.. Sorry 😊

Cauliflower soup! Excellent stuff. It also has some grated carrots, onion, garlic, maybe a sweet potato or I might try some butternut squash in it. There is also milk, cheese and chopped ham so by the time it's done it is a nice creamy soup with lots of flacor. I really like soup and make it frequently with pretty much anything I have.

@DotLewis I love soup too! So tasty!

Posted by JurneeI have to say, as an overweight karate instructor, this is the one patch that I was ok with never getting.
