It seems I'm making some progress in having a stable diet. Because of caloric deficit that I had in order to lose a bunch of weight, I'm within two and a half pounds of my weight loss goal of 103 pounds down. Now it's beginning to get tricky but today I haven't eaten a single thing with grain with it, but had plenty of veggies and fruit. I genuinely felt full most of the day. This seems like I'm going in the right direction. Lately I've been making a word document on what I should eat and how much and how little per day. I also leave side note of how to feel more full through out the day. I feel like I'm a borderline vegetarian. To think, just a year ago I loved cheese and everything dairy and ate a ton of grain carbs. This caused me to have so many health problems. Nowadays I seldom eat anything cow related (replaced by plant-based things). Literally the only things I do eat (on occasion) are rice pudding (tiny little packs that are around 130 calories) or a healthy choice fudge bar (110 calories, 1g saturated fat, a good amount of potassium, 2g fiber, and of course some calcium). Eh... even my dessert choices aren't that bad. Side note: I know I should probably at least eat some grain things, but I'm still experimenting.
Outstanding! I'm down 70# from my high of 239# three-years ago, so we're on a similar track, but I'm taking it much slower. I want to lose 10-15 more # to get into and stay within the "normal" BMI range. Yes, ditch the dairy (except for no-fat) and hoard the low-calorie veggies. I can fill up on salad greens, broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts and such and feel full all day, yet only consume 1100-1400 calories for the day. No desserts for me! No mammal products either. No sugars. Nothing fatty. This is all becoming normal for me now. I can walk through the bakery dept to get to the fruit & veggies and not feel even a twinge of interest. My body and brain have been re-trained for healthy foods only. Wish I'd done this 20-years ago.
Posted by OldMetalHeadI hit a new weight milestone this week. Still trying for the six-pack.
Posted by OldMetalHeadThe hardest part for me is not falling back into old bad habits after meeting goals.

Posted by JonnaBononnaI had finally gotten back on track after gaining back most of the weight I lost a couple of years ago.
Posted by JurneeI have to say, as an overweight karate instructor, this is the one patch that I was ok with never getting.

Posted by DotLewis7 March 2020 - Diet Diary - Been quiet around here lately. I've not been on vacation, just keeping a low profile and trying to stay on top of things. Are those things incompatible?
