If he is a scientist then being against anything is anathema to the occupation.
If you don’t like it, ignore.
It’s no different to reality TV which is even more insidious. Just ignore it!
It is a scientist’s job to explore and uncover. Dawkins has a fixation with gods in which he has taken on a mission to discredit. The likes of Hutchins and co have a much better understanding of atheism.
If Dawkins would get on being a brilliant scientist and leave his crusade to others we would have another great mind in the field of human discovery.
It seems Dawkins goes over the same ground bringing forward nothing new.
That is why it is anathema to science.
Religion has the same dynamic as reality TV. It will draw your attention to nothing of any worth.
Hence if one doesn’t like religion, as with reality TV, ignore it.
@dan325 I agree. It’s just a waste of an exploratory mind in favour of a publishing deal and a royalty cheque.
The anti-god market is replete with commentators. It seems to me that Dawkins is wasted in that field. I would love to be shown otherwise, but he doesn’t seem to present any new research, just diatribes as to why gods are wrong!
I am against the invention of all religions by shamans that taught women to be raped and brainwashed boys to become killers of nearby tribes
