While walking home from work, I came across these two billboards. WTF?

( Never seen these before! I seldom go down this busy road.)

I would bet that the "I am not good enough" billboard may be linked to a campaign to attract people to Jesus, or to mental health resources.

The "undetectable = untransmittable" statement is true. Planned Parenthood had this on their website:

“Scientists never like to use the word 'never' of a possible risk,” said Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease. “But I think in this case we can say that the risk of transmission from an HIV-positive person who takes treatment and has an undetectable viral load may be so low as to be unmeasurable, and that’s equivalent to saying they are uninfectious.”

So if the same party paid for both signs, they're batting .500.

Thanks for the article. I did not know this. The phrase "Undetectable = Untransmittable" to me seems misleading. I interpret it as meaning as long as no one can detect it, you cannot transmit it. (As opposed to "Undetectable after treatment = Untransmittable" ) But the article shares good news.

I agree with the first one, but wouldn't trust the second one.

Scary stuff.

And honestly, I am not convinced the second one is true. I think they are saying that treated individuals who are not disease detectable, do not transmit the disease. However, someone who is positive but is not yet detectable can, I am sure, still transmit. I worked in immunodiagnostics so have a clue.
