A Yard Long Red Noodle Bean has finally popped, and I believe a few more are almost ready to bloom! Next year I will get seed to start many more (2 of 3 seedlings remain from my impulse purchase). The lavender blossom was so sweet!

Wild blackberries. They grow anywhere freely in South West England. Give them another week or so, they will be ready to pick, sweet and juicy. :)

Update for @cutiebeauty and others who might have a passing interest: container gardening of various seeds from a decade+ ago. Peppers, dill, beets, cilantro, chives, catnip.... all are doing well. Forget about container tomatoes.

We had stormy weather last night, so I cut the Lillies and some Hosta flowers to enjoy them in the living room. Their scent is perfuming the air. The bouquet with Zinnias and Sunflowers is already a few days old. I used to be very reluctant to cut ...

This is the time of year when my little garden is still lush, and the trumpet vine that shades my bedroom window from southern sun is in full bloom. Each morning I step out of bed, pull back the darkening curtains, and see this!
