Cold and Crappy again today, wind howling and even a few light flurries just to make sure I stayed inside and puttered instead of getting out into the garden. I checked on the daffodils that just came up last week and it looks like the snow we had on the weekend has done them in.
The Sunset was beautiful however, so I'll enjoy that until I can get outside in the garden again.

your weather there will probably start improving soon. we've had great above normal temps weather on Van Isle for weeks but our forecast is for rain & lower temps. bc of the way the jet stream moves across canada if its good weather on the west coast it's not good back east & vice versa.

Is that river or lake at the bottom of the yard?

That my friend is the St. Lawrence River, I live on an island in the middle of it.

@Surfpirate I think that you once told me. My bad - memory lapse!
The river looks wuite small - you are well upstream toward the source or it is much wider on the other side of the island?

@FrayedBear I am on the north side of Howe Island at the narrows of the Bateau Channel, the dark blue line at the bottom of the pic is the CAN/US border which is right in the middle of the St. Lawrence River which is about 10 kms wide at this point.

@FrayedBear It's a bit like the Mississippi River only not muddy.
