Why doesn't my Saint John's wort bloom? I planted it 17 years ago and last year was the 1st time it had even one flower. This year I have four. It would be the prettiest groundcover ever if it would just bloom.

The most happy St. John's i ever saw was completely light coverred. It was the southwest corner of property with no shade.

i commented on this before but it said it wasn't active. So here is my thoughts.
How much sun? They do really well with morning shade and afternoon sun. In the picture is the west side wall, lots of flower buds ready to open. As soon as this is done blooming it gets cut back. Should have done it last year but i love the flower show...lol
Ok no longer active. I missed that. Oh well still good. How much sun? They do really well with morning shade and afternoon sun. In the picture is the west side wall, lots of flower buds ready to open.
