Those are lovely!
I like roses though they sure do drop a lot of litter with their spent flowers, don't they? I don't know Pretty In Pink but I have Sally Holmes, New Dawn and an unknwn tea rose which has the greatest scent. I'll bet those blackberries will be put to good use.
That yellow Calla has especially nice leaves and someone in my neighborhood has another one with great foliage. I only have one Calla whose flower is white but it has big leaves with markings. Plant Delights nursery has a picture of it under the name Zantedeschia aethiopica 'Hercules', or popular name Hercules Calla Lily. I'm posting the link but lately that doesn't seem to work for me.
I love roses also but boy they are some serious work. The old petals, bugs, black spot......
I was using Pretty in Pink to describe the pretty little pink calla.
I share the blackberries with the birds
All very good. Fascinated that the blackberry has attracted most attention. Last meal with my daughter & family was wild blackberry pie more than a year ago. Sil. tells me that now the firefighting season is over the helicopter is being used to spray blackberries in the forests. They are classed a noxious weed here.
Really pretty. What kind of Blackberries are they? I hope they're not what I am thinking they are.
They are the kind you buy at Lowe's Hardware - plant & hope you don't kill them
@Heidi68 Good, almost looked like the very invasive Himalayan blackberries. I have some and have been trying to remove them for years. Almost done except the birds keep planting new ones.
We have a native blackberry that is really strange. It has a small vine that crawls along the ground and is full of tiny thorns. The hotter and drier it is the more it grows. One has to be very careful waling barefoot around here.
@JackPedigo we have wild ones here also, with thorns! But I know several people who prefer the wild berries....
@Heidi68 The beries are small but tasty. It's their, ground spreading vines that are the problem.
Such pretty pictures! Those blackberries look delish!!
Thank you!
I can't wait for some snacks
@Heidi68 I was thinking those blackberries would be good in a cobbler!
@Redheadedgammy most would probably enjoy that... me, not so much - not a fan of cobbler.
@Redheadedgammy but blackberry milkshakes ❤
@Heidi68 oh my, yes! Blackberry milkshake sounds yummy!
