I am truly a veggie gardening novice, despite 4+ decades of flower gardening. But greenbeans don't seem to care if I don't know what I am doing they just crank out the beans, and they don't even take long to do it. They are my summer season counterpart to (Gulf Coast) winter's green peas. Yum!

Beans don't like cool damp weather so they can be difficult in some years up here. But last summer was the warmest in my memory and my best year for beans. Our climate is warming so beans are looking good again.
