I also have a couple of these plants. A trick I learned was to pull the dead and dying leaves off in the winter. This gives the flowers more energy. In the spring remove the dying flowers to put more energy into the leaves.

Thanks, I think that's what I did last year, and this is the same photo from one year ago so I think it worked:

@tinkercreek I learned that from my late partner. I have two plants and they have always bloomed when I do this.
