Do tomatoes grow well indoors? I was at the garden center at Walmart the other day considering getting a big houseplant and I saw some of the big tomato plants and thought that might look interesting, but thinking it might not do well.
They need lots of light, research a good cultivar. You would definitely want an indeterminate variety that fruits and flowers over a long interval and doesn't get too big as others have pointed out. Their ancestors are tropical perennials, so hopefully you can find one that lives for years.
I don't think so. Tomatoes need a large amount of sun as you know. I can't imagine an indoor spot that would give them enough sun. But it's worth a try. I'm all for trying anything new. Some of my best plants were experiments.
I didn't know until a couple years ago that pruning back vegetable vines can actually be good for them.
REALLY?
I was asking an honest question, not looking for sarcasm. But thanks for stopping by.
@Flexymorals Really sorry you took it that way.I have to keep reminding myself that people get hurt easier than I do.Im serious, very sorry
