Question

Wild gardening is something I started doing after a bad fall down a flight of stairs did some damage to my nerve bundle at the base of my spine, bending down is painful now so I had to give up on the proper English garden with neat rows, carefully weeded.
I find that I can leave the weeds grow until I need to weed in with a pair of long hand clippers or the weedeater and the weeds give some camoflage to my plants from pests like deer and raccoons. Nice neat rows of beats are like a buffet table on a conveyor belt for deer I have found. I also started using 6" GWG left over from the build to provide a protective cover for my lettuce, it seems to be working better than anything else I have tried in the past to deter the deer.

As we grow old, or after a back injury, it's best to build a tall frame, raised garden idea, also good to control bad weeds.
