They look just fine to me! If you let the vines grow... In few weeks they will be at least 5_feet long.

@egyptrican few of my sweet potato vines are taking over my entire garden.
Of course they are in full sun and soil.. They are the most vigorous plant you can grow, and no pests to bother them
