Proud and delighted to announce the arrival of my first ever pickle!
Please excuse janky trellis. It's fashioned from sticks from my tree. The last pic is one of my tomato plants. I've never had such a happy garden. It's blowing up my mind a little bit.
Lookadat pickle!

Hate to break it to you but for it to become a pickle you need to take a few more steps. Awaiting to see it behind glass.

Nice cuke. Looks like there will be more since there are more flowers. Keep an eye on them. With sufficient water they grow really fast.

From my experience, vining plants don't care what their trellis looks like but people do because it makes harvesting easier. As long as the trellis will be strong enough to support a lot of weight, just about anything can work... even an old step ladder.

Have you tried growing pole beans? They're a lot of fun and they too can be turned into a delight. Check out on-line recipes for "dilly beans" if you get the chance.

Nice job and I’d like to trellis. It’s good to use natural material or what you have on hand rather than going out and spending money Recycle reuse repurpose

@Donto101, I just wish more people lived by that creed. I've always done that. It just makes sense.
