I haven't but my sister did that trick when she was in high school, she also feed watermelon intravenously as an experiment.

Tried? No. I have seen similar photos, usually in adds for "special rose seeds," or some such .
Those were outright fraud. I always thought that was photo-shopped, as there is no rose gene for actual blue. But if it is just a way of dying with food color, it looks intriging. If that stem is split, though, that rose isn't going to last long.

@Sheannutt Generally, food colouring works, although maybe not so well. Works with celery - a favourite school experiment.

It's cut. I'm about to try this with the kid. Seems like a legit reason to buy myself flowers and play with food coloring.

@Sheannutt thats what I was thinking maybe just painting it with silk paint
