An hour spent digging and then pulling burlap & plastic twine off the root ball. Then separating the roots from being root-bound. Finally getting it into the ground and back filled with compost and long term release fertilizer. And then mulching the Mess I made. But within an hour, a good steady rain of .10 inches, with more to come. Pretty good strategic planning!
Pretty snowball tree at the back.
Thank you.
We leave the 'snowballs' on all winter. We've a bird feeder and heated birdbath just in the other side of the walk with another hydrangea. The birds like to sit in them.
What type of tree?
Japanese Maple. Rescued from the Lowes marked down plants selection. It'll get pruned next year.
@bigpawbullets Over the years, I have gotten a lot of plants that were marked down because of over ordering or some other cause that made them not as pretty and have had really good luck with most of them. They might take a little more work initially, but look just as good downstream. Good hunting.
@bigpawbullets thats what I thought it wss on thw pic. Great location for it
@Zoohome
I hope so.
