Recycling has its treasures for a garden. An old park bench is used as patio stones to save on pea stone and try something different.
My wife had the idea to add some solid colour marbles in the pea stone. They sparkle in the sunlight. It's the perfect retreat from hot afternoon sun. You can enjoy the garden in full sun and relax in the shade. After a rain, it's awesome watching the colour change in the stones when they dry. I can't seem to locate those photos.
A wizard's magic wand is like a flower in my garden casting a spell on me. For those who don't believe in magic, my garden fills my head with whatever I want in it.
Wouldn't you daydream in a place like this?

Nice landscaping.

@HeathenFarmer
Thank you. The backyard fence garden was made when the property was built. It's full of rocks and is the most difficult garden to grow in. I gave up trying to dig and remove rocks so I added more to help contain the soil on the slope.

Gardening certainly is the perfect venue to find a little creative inspiration. Not to mention to meditatively reflect on the preciousness and cyclical nature of life. Thanks for sharing your experiences in these pics!

I grew up in nature and it's important to me for many reasons. Nature is where I find peace in a world so different from me.
I like to be creative, but am I even creative?
As long as I enjoy I'm creative!
Thank you for your inspiring comment.

I think anyone who gets serious about gardening is willing to mix a little magic in with their science. πŸ˜‰

@Surfpirate
Serious enough for me to create a landscape full of gardens. It keeps me busy with hours of relaxation and excitement. The lifespan of a flower shows me how fragile and short life is.
I appreciate how all the plants in our garden depend on each other to give us a wonderful show each season. I'm learning by trying new things with an open mind. Sometimes I make mistakes in the garden and in life. Magic is overcoming challenges and my garden helps me with that.

beautiful, it looks so relaxing to sit in. I recycle old dresser drawers. On recycle day, I take the drawers from discarded dressers and i use them as garden boxes that I plant in, or for composting.

Sounds interesting. I wonder if I can find a special drawer for special plants in my garden. It will have to go with the theme but it's a good idea.
A smaller drawer about 12 X 12 X 8 full of sedum and succulents cascading out and over the face of the drawer.

@flower_nut that sounds beautiful !!

@AmmaRE007
When I find a drawer that will work I'm going to build it. I think it would go with the backyard fence garden. The drawer needs to be at a height to showcase it.
