Does Cobequid Pinewheel open further or does it stay like that?

There were no flowers fully opened on Cobequid Pinewheel when I took these photos. I assume it opens further.

Dahlias are bold and never boring. They make a statement in any garden. I wish I could get mine to look as good as the ones at the public gardens.
