The apples and onions in store from the harvest, are now getting old. So the day after Xmas being a holiday here in the UK (boxing day), I took the time to make some pies to share with friends, especially my very good friend who cooked dinner for me yesterday. That will use up the last of the produce.
It looks like you used an egg white wash on the crusts, I do that, but I add a little bit of brown sugar. It looks rough, but the taste more than makes up for it.
Yum, those look so delicious.
The finish is a bit rough, but there is plenty inside.
@Fernapple what goes inside these delicious looking pies?
@Redheadedgammy Today I did some; pear and marmalade, apple and sultana with cinnamon and some cheese and onion.
@Fernapple that sounds heavenly and I'm sure I would love them!
