That would mean actually letting corpses bio degrade too.
@SurvivorSteph Yes, but one problem is that many are so full of chemicals they would poison the water tables and soils. For some places a concrete liner is required. But there places where human compost piles are being used.
@JackPedigo concrete liners are required where I live, an agrarian area. If we stopped embalming would we still need liners?
@SurvivorSteph Embalming fluids are a big part of the problem but so are the tons of chemical the average person puts into their bodies in the way of medications or food that are pumped full of chemicals. It is said even cremation is a problem because of the metals (mercury) in our teeth.
@JackPedigo interesting. I didn’t realize how problematic our diet is, and I had never thought about the postmortem effects of dental fillings. Glad I’m getting mine replaced.

Oh, come on Rob, ghosts are all around us. I know because my cat talks to them all the time. She sits in a room, staring up at the cormer and meows. The dog, on the other hand, just growls.
Nothing religious about spirits or ghosts. Just another type of being. Like you Rob!!!
