I am so pleased with this latest blast of arctic air rolling though that has kept me from getting any planting done. If there's one thing I like it's not being able to enjoy the fruits of my labors until just before the first freeze.
I usually aim for a bit closer to mother's day to plant stuff, because as long as I've lived here there have been surprises with the weather. I'm about 50 miles east of you.
Thanks for reminding me that living in the Deep South does have its silver lining!
A small green house...easy to build...cheaper than ever....google plans to make them...they sell at the local Do-it-yourself stores for cheaper every day... Here's one for $55..
I would love to get something like that. Unfortunately, with the winds we get here in the plains, a plastic greenhouse would be nothing but shreds within a week. Though it didn't snow here in Lincoln yesterday, we did have some 60 mph wind gusts.
Posted by FernappleIts that season again, blue sky and golden leaves, nature is the greatest designer, a Ginkgo in my garden. Also posted in photography.
