@itsmedammit , wild ferns grow in the thick woods of KY too.
@freeofgod We have them outdoors here too. I do miss having them in the house though. The humidity is too low in the winter months unless you have a humidifier or give them lots of spritzes and showers. Then there are the cats
I love ferns and we have several common wild ferns in Alaska. I am transplanting them behind my house to make a natural fern garden...

It was wonderful. Actually they did get to be a management problem. I frequently divided them and gave away so many plants.
