Monster Wisteria. I am clearing out the area around the base of the Wisteria and thought I would take a picture to show what I am up against. This has been a battle for a couple of years and may continue longer.

I have cut a lot of the root and will cover a part of the ground with plastic and lots of mulch. The original rootstock plant is starting to take over.
assume you will take out some of those main stems when the 'thing' is dormant

Already on it. I am also covering some of the area with black plastic and lots of mulch.
That wisteria is out of control! Best wishes to you trying to tame it.
