How do you feel about light hearted things in the garden. Do you think that a sense of fun is good, or should gardens be taken seriously, is it possible to live with them longterm ?

I visited today a garden which is unashamedly light hearted with a few really cheeky elements such as the fake windows looking out over it, and the tiny lifeguard seat, which is twenty miles from the sea and looks over a modest garden pond. Do you like ?

I like any beautiful garden. Whimsy, though not essential, just adds to the fun, as far as I am concerned.

Sure, if they have the money, energy and time to have fun, why not?

In this day and age we need all the humor we can get even in our gardens.

I like both light hearted and serious. Light hearted should also be aesthetically pleasing.

I like it... Looks interesting.... We should always have fun with the things we love...

True.

Whatever you enjoy should be there. I enjoy function over form, and i am definitely not a purist.

Some people love kitschy.

I like a touch of whimsy but not to bludgeon anyone with it.

To each their own.

I'll have to show you my deck stairs when they're done! πŸ‘
