Was able to get some more planting done today. Two more pineapple plants in the ground and two more started in pots. A blue hydrangea planted for my girlfriend. My curry leaf tree in the ground. Four aloe plants in the ground and last but not least I picked up a key lime today that I repotted to a bigger container.
Sounds a productive day, I am trying to pot up 2 passion-fruit and some cassava stalks for the people I work with. Harvested 2 nice butternut, thought there was another on the vine but there is 2, guess the vine will stay a few weeks longer. It is hot and dry here, so the pumps are running already, doesn't take long for sand to dry out.
I want to get some passion fruit. Never had cassava would like to try that too
@Donto101 I don't really recommend Cassava, tree is pretty enough, it is the tubers that are used, need to be pulped and washed to get rid of toxins, and even then it is just a starch. I have a lot of co workers from the islands and Asia, they use it so I grow and disseminate it. What I would like to to have is arrow root again. Have grown them both in the past. I hate having such a small place to grow,.
@Donto101 makes a fine sweet flour, they are a lily I think, quite attractive, mine had large red bulbs, had them a few years, suddenly one night the local scrub turkeys decided they were tasty, not a thing left, hollowed out bulbs. I have yet to be able to obtain the same ones. Though am trying.
