My peppers (purple and teal containers along house) and my eggplants (teal blue and dark blue containers along house).... I started them in the containers and I'm going to leave them in the pots instead of transplanting them into the garden this year. The raised bed gardens have tomatoes, zucchini, yellow squash, cucumbers, carrots, beets, and okra all planted. Tomatoes and squash I started in my garage and transplanted. The long rows are my sweet corn....it's in the shade right now so not sure you can see it well. I also have watermelons and patty-pan squash in containers along the back side of my garage and more along my garden shed. The final is just of the side yard where we hang out and feed the birds/squirrels I participate in a seed share/exchange with a group of local gardeners...so I have 8 kinds of tomatoes, 7 kinds of peppers, 2 kinds of watermelon, 3 kinds of sweet corn, 2 types of egg plants...etc.
Do you do a lot of canning and have plenty to eat all winter?
Anything extra special in your pantry, for example salsa?
Yes! I do a LOT of canning....up to 4 kinds of pickles...plus salsa, tomato sauce, ketchup, etc. I also freeze a lot...including corn and squash. I love to can!
That all looks great. I love the raised beds. I plan on eventually doing something like that.
the raised beds are really nice to have...I hope to build a greenhouse someday too!
Beautiful! Looks like you got quite a bit of land and lots of sunshine
yes....I have almost an acre and lots of sunshine!
Wow! Very nce. I have nothing yet growing except Chives and Thyme. Maybe this week. It is cold today but is supposed to be warming up.
