I found a seller for native milkweed and other butterfly host plants. I may just order seeds. I'm kind of eyeballing that Mexican Sunflower torch, lol.

Is California hyper critical of plants coming from out of state? I have native milkweed in Texas but it might be illegal to trade across state lines, I don't know??
A few years ago, I smuggled magnolia and eucalyptus out of Long Beach. Shhhhh...don't tell anyone!
Ha ha hahahaaaaaa
Lol! No, I don't believe so. I'm in several Facebook buy, sell and trade groups and I have shipped plants as will as received plants from all over the states. Years ago I smuggled Plumeria cuttings from Hawaii, Hawaii was very strict at the time.
I do locally....we trade seeds and seedling/starter plants for our gardens so we can get a wide variety of veggies. As a result, I have 8 different types of tomatoes and over a dozen different types of peppers, etc.
You might consider putting an ad on your local craigslist in the farm/garden section.
Thanks, I run a local garden share. We meet once a month and share plants, cuttings, seeds, pots, fruits, vegetables, eggs, tools and anything garden or farm related. It covers half of OC and some of LA county. Native milkweed is hard to find.
