Linda found 2 old garden window shelves out in our shed. "These would be great to grow 'Huffman' vines on!".... Hammering stakes into the ground... Wiring shelves to the stakes.... planting vine starts..... But. "Happy Wife, Happy Life". ;-)

Question for the experts here on lilies. I planted hybrid lilies under this tree years ago. This year, they produced "native" lily blooms. Do hybrids return to a natural lily state after a few years? Or was this from cross pollination?

Mailbox garden is a micro ecosystem in our cul-de-sac. The coneflowers & joe pie-weed are doing well with no fertilizer or additional watering. Marigolds, yuccas & red hot pokers add to the interest, as do strawberries for groundcover and snacks ...

Feral tomato plant gifted by "those who were here first". I think we'll get 50% of the 'maters and the squirrels will split the rest with the chipmunks. Seems fair.
