I picked the first cucumber of the season a few minutes ago. The bees were in the cukes and the zinnias. I had a butterfly in the zinnias, too but no camera.

I wanted to always do my herb garden this way.

Pictures of what I have canned so far. 26 quarts and 12 pints of hot spicy pickles, and today just finished the 7 quarts of green beans. I should get 7 more today but I have to breakup and clean more beans.

New member here, adding my two cents worth I.e. my little flower garden, shown here.

This is what happened when you give the tree guys a case of good beer for dumping you off a couple loads of wood chips. You end up with more than you know what to do with. Lol

I love David the Good. Watch to the very end he cracks me up.

Organic cotton update. This plant has 49 fruiting positions or squares. I have bolls as big as a quarter already. Let's see if I can hold all of those squares and carry them to maturity. They're the reddish leaf, bloom looking parts of the plant

Bee hotel update. Assembly of the box & stand today. Ripped remaining deck rail posts for roof material. Damn batteries for the drill are dead! Four hour down time to recharge one.

This is my experimental canning project of sweet pickled beets They look good, I guess this winter I'll find out how they taste.
