@DaisyMaeNot . I once had a smart dog, Pathos, that would open the door to let in his friend... a pigeon named Oscar. Oscar would poop on my turntable and records when he danced to the music.
Not only that but it is one of the highest priced on the market and has been made as a "sealed unit" so that you can't repair them they have to be replaced instead...
This makes them little more than a $2,000 Bic lighter....

My mother has so many "smart" devices that set off alarms that it drives me nuts when I'm over there. The worst are the ones that go "ding" about once per minute. You hear the "ding" a few times, try to investigate and find out where it is coming from then wait 1 minute for each "ding". It takes a long time to figure out what is going "ding" and turn off the silly alarm.
