an infamous case in Newfoundland in the 80s & 90s proved that the Moms refused to believe what happened (often in fear of eternal damnation for themselves and their children) and the police and establishment looked the other way due to the power of "The Church".

@MichelleGar1 sadly lots more cases in other place such as Spotlight in Boston, any of the Irish homes for wayward girls, schools for native children and orphanages etc etc
