No. It's only true if you drink sissy yellow beer, like Miller, or Budweiser... As of a few months ago my tiny city had more breweries per capita than any other US city... Almost all of it is good beer, except for the stuff they brew - just for the peeps that actually like sissy yellow beer
Try Utah beer at 3.2%.
(Unless you buy from a State liquor store).
It depends on your goal. If you just want a lawn-mower beer that you can swill until your eyes are blurry, American Adjunct Lagers are fine. Miller Lite, Miller High Life, Pabst Blue Ribbon. AB products are mostly horrible, especially the Michelob brands, and ditto for Coors and Corona. My go to beer now (lawn-mower) is Miller High Life. It's quite decent and a 30 pack is $17.99. There are tons of other quality beers nearby as I live near Ft. Collins, CO. New Belgium in the pic.
Good luck with that one. Not a beer drinker anymore.
Straight to the hard stuff, eh?
I walked into a Pub in London and the bar keep said this to me upon realizing I was American... that was in 92... some American beers have improved since then but the good ones are priced like an import. I drink Guinness and Corona because I know they use a vegan filtering process... to even offer canned swill like Budweiser, Coors, Miller and thier ilk puts lots of truth in the crack.
@Captnron59 agreed, I am well-versed in the subtleties of a good pour.
True story. We apparently like it watered down, just like our history ?
@Lostin15801 I cannot disagree.
