All the cats I've had have been indoor/outdoor.
@tnorman1236 I used to let the bunch (when there was a bunch (sigh)) out in the backyard for a few hours a few times a week. Now we have our ferals out back, one left from the old bunch & a new kitty. I don't trust traffic (not in the backyard, btw!), other people, dogs, coyotes, etc. Our feral family has gone from 6 to 4 & I have no way of knowing what has happened to them. It is just not worth the worry & their safety. If I lived elsewhere, maybe, but as it is, indoors is much, much safer!
