Not funny. I grew up in pretty much the same atmosphere. Beaten for anything and nothing. Face so swollen, every time, that my teachers gasped when they saw me, I was unrecognizable. The last time, I was hit with a board and a nail was stuck in my skull. Walked out into the street bleeding profusely. Nobody helped not even jeebus. F him.

@Closeted there was no CPS. it was the 50's and 60's. The nail incident was the last time and I was 18. Two months from graduating. I never thought I'd get out alive. Many many attempts to keep me from making it out .
