Given the immense religious population in the United States, how would our history be different if our founders failed to include the separation of church and state in our constitution?
Seemed like a fun thought experiment considering that despite our nation being the only one to have that incredible liberty which other countries know the importance of all too well, it seems like we have the most amount of problems arise due to fundamentalist dogma (not referring to physical attacks which I view as a separate issue).
Christians in this country are destroying our country
Any system can be corrupted over time. The greedy have had over 200 years to find every vulnerability in our form of government, even using some built-in vulnerabilities to exploit others. We can't even open up our constitution for repairs for fear that it will be subverted by the powerful greedy.
