Love is in the air for this pair of tree swallows! They're scoping out the nest box at the end of my parents' driveway.

A common bird, but an uncommon beauty! The delightfully vibrant male cardinal!

Holy moly! So early are these arrivals. Mr. & Mrs. Rose-breasted grosbeak, Mr. & Mrs. House wren, Northern orioles & white crowned sparrow. Climate change proof.

Any people out there with cockatiels? Or should I say... cockytiels? My lil girl is a sassy thing, likes to go places she shouldn't, just to get attention out of me!

This is the annual census (The great backyard bird count) conducted by Cornell, just a bit of fun. Naturally all the flocks of robins hid when it was time to count so I only reported 4.
