My eclectus - Sam - has been pulling his feathers. Front, sides ,neck and some back. I changed his diet, took him to the vet who said it was stress. Can't believe this as I let him out and take him over to the beach or outside. Any advice?

This fellow was running up and down the fence line trying to figure out how to get through. (The fence belongs to a deer farm, so it's probably 10' high box wire.) His buddy had made it over and had run off into a field, but this guy wasn't figuring...

Some of the approximately 400 tundra swans I saw today. If you are in Pennsylvania and you're able to visit Middle Creek WMA during spring migration, I highly recommend it. It's free and the birds are astounding.

We have red-rumped swallows nesting on our porch. They return every year. Sometimes the nest can be reused and sometimes it breaks and falls during the winter so they build a new one. This year they are rebuilding, but there seem to be three birds...

4 spectacular, male rose breasted grosbeaks on the burr oak right outside my window. Not more than 6 feet away.They are waiting for the squirrel to get its fill on the sunflower feeder. They have come along way to this rest stop. Some even nest here....

The red-rumped swallows have finished building their nest but it has been stolen by a pair of sparrows. The swallows fought valiently for their rights but weren't strong enough to see off the sparrows who are now in residence. A case of locals ...
