My coffee beans went from $19.99 to $24.99. Yesterday my wife came home to inform me of this. She told me that it anyone told her that inflation isn't happening due to these tariffs, she was going to punch them right in the face. I'm pissed. I love my 8 O'clock coffee beans to grind at home. I've been drinking this coffee brand for decades. I remember when it was as low as at least $7.99 a bag. Fortunately she's locked into a mail order for $14.99 and we only get it at the store if we're about out. She isn't sure yet if that price will go up also.
I know you all wanted to have that information delivered to you Have I said I'm pissed yet? I'm pissed off.
I have a large freezer and part of what it contains is 30 pounds of vacuum packed coffee I bought before Trump announced his tariffs.... Other items I also stocked up on...
Smart cookie!
@girlwithsmiles I have studied both history and economics the patterns are the same when certain policies are enacted. Right now the state of California where I live has a bad choice as governor. He wants power and is determined to be the next president so he plays games instead of taking the right course and working towards secession taking Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and Hawaii with us. Doing this we could encourage other states to follow suit and connect through treaties with Canada and Mexico creating a North American Union that would utterly end the power of the far right in the US within the next generation. California and New York leaving alone would destroy the ability of the other states to operate financially leaving them in the same condition that Russia, North Korea and Iran are in right now...
@Lizard_of_Ahaz That’s a lot to take in. I hope the far right’s power does get hobbled, they seem to gave too much of it. But financial instability that leads to some communist like state is not sounding good either.
@girlwithsmiles Those states would become fascist states because of their ideology and nothing makes a fascist state more powerless than bankruptcy...
@Lizard_of_Ahaz Scary times then.
@girlwithsmiles Times I predicted coming in 1972....
@Lizard_of_Ahaz I really hope your prediction is right, as it would mean no more foreign expeditions by a very powerful military.
A serious question; why would Hawaii choose to join remnants of a broken Union? I see them going independent before that, perhaps leasing Pearl Harbour to whomever "get's the best deal" as some turd likes to boast.
@puff Because the states I mention have about a third of the total military power of the US and more production capacity that the rest of the country combined. Hawaii requires an onshore industrial base to survive and Guam would come to the West coast by default. With those states in a union they would result in the second largest economy in the world, far larger that the rest of the country combined. One of California's contributions to defense is General Atomics which in partnership with Saab just invented an AWACS command and control drone...
@Lizard_of_Ahaz But with no federal government, who would be in charge of this military? After a hopefully non violent succession, would the populace be willing to maintain a large military? What happens to the 37 trillion debt? Can't see Guam remaining either nor what is it, Costa Rica is also part of the states?
And the big question, if it broke out quickly, how would all those posted o/s react?
@puff The central government would be created by the states who leave Fascist states by Default California would need to be the capital and create a federal income tax to replace the defunct system. It would of course be lower taxes on the poor and working class that the present system and higher on the top 10%. This would also cover the costs of a national healthcare system and cover both Social Security and VA benefits giving us a majority support from the military.
@Lizard_of_Ahaz So you would accept veterans from those other states who wished to move there for benefits?
I'm still interested in the o/s people eg if shit hits fan, your platoon brothers in arms o/s could well fight each other.. Lots in Rammstein, Poland, Sth Korea, Japan so how would those commanders react and the host nations who, at the start, will have to guess who comes out on top and what gets formed after. What will countries like Australia do? Pick sides or leave to your own devices? Places like Pine Gap? federal agencies like CIA, FBI, HS and all the other alphabet agencies, what will they do? Prison populations?
Whatever happens, it won't be as smooth as your ideal, nothing ever is. Seeing big protests in Los Angeles today and Trump getting national guard in Washington. A big loss of face regarding Ukraine with the big meeting coming very soon. Think it will be a different world next month.
Gotta love the Houthi's, as soon as idf entered Gaza, rain some more missiles at Israel. Go your good things, the only ones who understand "Never again shall the world stand idly by........."
@puff The cost would be negligible and many would be happy to join the reserves if they came from outside the new borders. Also it would draw in many of the active duty personnel from around the country leaving the far right-wing staffed largely by incompetents. One should never bind the mouths of the kine who tread the grain... Also those red states would suffer from brain drain leaving their part of the country still run by poorly educated pissants making their economies even worse...
@Lizard_of_Ahaz Economies? The economies will be war torn ones and that debt will mean other countries who bought US treasury bonds won't be paid which means............................no idea how they would handle it but many would never do business with the US again if they default on historic loans. Won't be any refinancing or economic growth to fix what has been destroyed by war.
Someone better take out the billionaires because sure as shit they will be using AI and making drone armies to ensure their high status in the human shit heap. The threat of nuclear war is so great now, makes the Cuban missile crisis look like happy days.
I think Australia would go right feral aka mad max when it happens, a default on interest payments. We are so beholden to everything USA, especially the dollar, we will collapse when you do. News articles today preparing us eg What would Australia's role be in WW III? from this Aussie, it sure as shit won't be defending US hegemony, but I think all here already knew that. It won't be defending our current government system, not fighting for them cunts either.
If a group breaks away and is 100% a sovereign Australia, free to seek our own destiny in whatever new world we find ourselves in, that I can support.
They are building a lot here at military training grounds, Shoal water bay a big one near me, one I exercised in many times as well, is having major construction, I know some who work there. So I fear the "neocons", whatever you want to call them, cunning plan is to pull the US out of Europe and transfer all the jar heads down here instead, ready for China. But I honestly think, the money just won't be there. Most o my countrymen will cheer this, the influence of all things USA here is mind blowing eg the big debate now regarding recognising Palestine has nothing to do with principals or morals, not about what we stand for as Australians. The debate is all about "We might upset relations with the US if we do it" So pathetic, not a proud Aussie.
@puff When you understand nothing about the US you really should stop making assumptions on us it only makes you look foolish...
@Lizard_of_Ahaz Yeah you're right, it will all go down as you say.
I know enough. The USA believe they are the exceptional nation we should all be in awe of. The most powerful nation the world has seen. That's what you are told
But the rest of us? All we see is a dysfunctional melting pot of humanity run by mafia. The way they do business; bullying, stand over tactics, bribes and assassinations. They need their cut and i they don't get it, send the goon squad round. But the bosses got full of hubris with this unchallenged power, which contributed to their downfall. The members of the "big club and you're (us) not in it" all started skimming the profits though, infighting broke out and their business model started to fall apart. Need loyalty to run organised crime, a united front.
Kudo's to George Carlin, would love to hear his commentary in these times.
@puff Yes me too. I miss George Carlin’s input, he was a good educator.
@puff Once again you show your ignorance the US is an extremely diverse country.... far more diverse than any other in the world and yet even with those who are at this time trying to steer us in the wrong direction we have done far better than many others. Yes at this time ignorance has control but we haven't gone back to institutional slavery unlike some others... Our real issue right now is the problem we are having from the upper 1/10% who have control of the reins of power and are systematically looting this country while destroying everything they can get their greedy claws on.
@Lizard_of_Ahaz Want an example of American exceptionalism?
"US is an extremely diverse country.... far more diverse than any other in the world". "we have done far better"
Always the best, number one hey? Come to Australia, the gold coast and you will be in for a rude awakening.
It's an attitude and you most definitely have it. Maintaining that now false belief........we call that hubris.
Back when I was growing up, there was a lot of truth to this attitude, but not anymore.
@Lizard_of_Ahaz Here's a bit of analysis for you. Why is Trump meeting Putin?
Trump will offer Putin part of Alaska and also withdrawing the USA from NATO. Europe meanwhile will continue to distract Russia in Ukraine, Finland, Kaliningrad and elsewhere, keeping Europe and Russia from forming an alliance, can't let those two get closer again which is the whole reasoning behind NATO's (the USA's foreign legion) proxy Ukraine war. This is a psycho neocon plan ie pure logic.
They think Putin will jump at increasing the Russian federation land mass and wants NATO gone so will accept "the deal". This will cause tensions between Russia and China, putting a wedge in the BRICS leadership. Then the USA may concentrate on China, the one they now identify as the USA's biggest threat. Good plan, pure logic.
But the base assumptions this logic is based on are seriously flawed.
Putin is no megalomaniac, Russians refer to him as "servant of the people". His priority is not Ukraine nor even NATO, it is ceasing this corrupted USA hegemony so a multipolar world, based on the rule of law rather than USA dictated rules, selectively applied, may flourish. He is not playing risk like neocons in an age of empires making grand deals to divvy up the spoils. He is not into that at all. He knows if Russia makes a deal like this, others will be scared away from BRICS. He will not be playing this game.
Now, if I have worked this out, sure as shit so has Russia and the Chinese, they are well aware of the games these people play. They know Trump's psycho so they have to be very careful he does not lose too much face so they will let Trump have a "win" so he doesn't have a psycho fit and start nuking everyone. They will use Trump's vanity and give him something to boast about. What that will be is the question in my mind. Sensitive diplomacy the name of the game.
There will be no empire like deals. I actually think and hope a main focus will be arms control for the Kremlin, ensuring the nonproliferation treaty stays in force. I'm hoping this will be Trump's win as it will be a win for us all eg people get nominated for Nobel peace prizes who develop arms controls.
That's my 2 cents worth. @William_Mary be interested in your thoughts/ assessment.
@Lizard_of_Ahaz Damn, I thought you'd bite over my Alaska gift bollocks lol.
@puff Nope Trump has delayed the end for Russia but it is coming faster than you can believe...
@Lizard_of_Ahaz I doubt that, 12 km advance, Ukraine lines fracturing at the moment. Hamas just got themselves another 3 idf hostages and have arced up their resistance. Mass protests in Turkey, Egyptian army massing on border.
A post from Ukraine today? Do they also quote only 8000 Ukraine KIA this year? Russian economy gunna crash any second now? I'm can assure you that if a nuclear missile site was hit in Russia, we would not be talking now. There is no such thing as a limited nuclear war. It would not surprise if Ukraine hit the nuclear power plant though, they have already tried.
Half joking what I propose above, but Russia will not play the "Wests" game of a new cold war.
@puff Into a killbox.... Azov is already in position This has been a common tactic used by Ukraine that has resulted in extremely large losses by Russia.
@puff Russia's "summer advance has resulted in so far 220,000 casualties and gains of .025% of Ukraine In the Dombas region they are losing 66 to one which is causing real problems...
@Lizard_of_Ahaz Not even going to bother looking at links from Kyiv post and Ukraine today. You want actual situation on the ground, this is an excellent channel map wise, commentary a bit to be desired but maps very good.
Military summary channel. 10 hrs ago
@puff This is NOT a "significant advance" this is a small number of infantry with no equipment at all that was all eliminated by Ukraine this is the result of tens of thousands of Russian causalities. Russian "advances" are like yo yos and many of the claimed advances turn out to be one or two soldiers sneaking in past Ukrainian lines for a photo op waving a flag before bugging out in hopes they will survive long enough to get the leave their CO promised them. Even if they keep part of this advance the Ukrainians will just pull back a little while slaughtering 40 to 60 thousand Orcs leaving the Russians with no reserves when Ukraine starts their counter offensive. Right now in Crimea the Orcs are doing the bugout boogie before the bridge is gone and they are completely cut off.... This is what you get for believing a Russian propaganda channel... Ukraine lures them into kill boxes and they end up dead in the end wait and see... The next line is set up already and is flat as a pancake with nowhere to hide from drones and artillery.
@Lizard_of_Ahaz the whole doctrine of war has changed. You just can't mass troops anymore, too much surveillance on the battlefield eg nowhere to hide and very accurate artillery/ rockets and drones. The Ukrainian's are very good fighters, no doubt about that. But they are really pushing shit up hill taking on an Army which see's this war for what it is, an attempt to destroy the Russian federation so capitalists can move back in like the 90's and rape Russia o it's resources, break up into smaller parts. Maintain US hegemony.. NATO's war so it may expand Eastwards.
Ukrainian's were the innovators on the battlefield regarding drones but Russia has adapted and now have air superiority and specialised drone regiments. They work now in 3 and 6's now with combined forces like armour/ artillery/ drones/ infantry. eg when attacking dug in troops, they only send in teams of 3, followed by 6. This after both artillery and drones have softened them up. So they only lose 3 at a time rather than platoons and company's. It is proving successful for them.
What were Russia's aims of their special military operation? They have been the same as day one.
Know thy enemy. Their motivation. Their strengths and weaknesses. Reality not what we wish.
This is the biggest mistake by "The West", they had false beliefs before they started, due mainly to Hubris. This war uses modern technology and old strategic use of armies is no longer valid in modern warfare. You just can't mass troops, equipment, fuel, ammo etc etc anymore. Our Western armies are so far behind now in modern warfare it is kind of embarrassing eg who would have thought the Houthis could chase a USA aircraft carrier away, forcing it out the Red Sea just 2 years ago?
Only one thing has changed, they wish to de-militarise not only Ukraine but NATO now. So keep sending that "lethal aid" Europe and the USA and Russia will keep destroying it via war of attrition. Russians have no timetable here, why the slow pace. Because they value their soldiers lives and are bleeding NATO dry of any surge capacity, needed for a prolonged war aka aim #2. All the promises of Patriot systems etc are all talk, NATO just don't have any spare anymore. Remember, an awful lot has gone to Israel too.
If you want to win a war, you must know your enemy. Russia was badly underestimated in April 2022 when olde Boris Johnson's quick trip to Kyiv to tell Zelenskyy to not sign a peace. false intelligence, like you have posted, does not help win a war, just keeps the morale up and sponsors will keep coughing up funds.
Reality will come crashing down soon enough for all. You were "winning" in Afghanistan for 20 years too, remember? "Just one more surge, mission accomplished", how many times were we sold that line in Afghanistan?
(I say "we" because Australia lost people there too, for what in the end? So the Taliban could take back control, gifted millions of $$$$ of kit as a bonus)
@puff You are too stupid to understand what Ukraine is doing right now.... Russia's logistics are now nearly depleted....
Amateurs study tactics; professionals study logistics.
Omar N. Bradley
@Lizard_of_Ahaz This guy is pro-Ukraine.
@puff
A) You don't understand OPSEC...
B) You don't understand asymmetrical warfare...
C) you are too lazy to understand or learn anything...
@Lizard_of_Ahaz Oh look, the boys at the soccer match Nazi saluting are being deployed.
@puff Remember the "Wagner group?" You know they were named after the German composer Richard Wagner a favorite of the Nazis in WW2?.... Not to mention the entire command group were known to have NAZI tattoos which was how the bodies were identified when Putin "accidentally" shot their plane down....
@puff Clickbait titling a video that says nothing of the sort?.... Newsflash dummy the rumor that the Azov brigade was all NAZIs was started by Putin to prevent them from receiving western weapons... Honestly you need to realize that Putin's forces are infested with rapists, cannibals and NAZIs as well as every other kind of filth he accuses Ukriane of having...
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, the state department spokesman told the BBC that Washington applied a vetting process to the National Guard of Ukraine's 12th Special Forces Azov Brigade and "found no evidence of gross violations of human rights committed".
"Russian disinformation attempts to conflate Ukraine's National Guard Unit of 12th Special Forces Brigade Azov with a militia formed to defend Ukraine against Russia's invasion in 2014, called the 'Azov Battalion'," the spokesman added.
@Lizard_of_Ahaz Why had the US banned them for 10 whole years? LEAHY's law, totally ignored for Israel.
"The US State Department announced today that the Azov Brigade, which has far-right and ultra-nationalist roots" aka fascists.
[edition.cnn.com]
[news.sky.com]
Next!!!!!! lol
@Lizard_of_Ahaz Zelensky has declared martial law, cancelled elections, cancelled opposition parties, banned all things Russian including worship and art, banned free press now state controlled media, conscripting 60 year olds etc etc
Ok, I concede, he's not supported by Nazi's. But he is supported by the 21st century's equivalent to Nazi's who supply tech, intelligence esp drones. So let's call him what he is.
A Zionist.
Nazi's, Zionist......all fascists. How's your security/ surveillance state going?
@puff he lost me with that 2nd reply. I tried to look at his profile to get a better understanding where all that stuff came from, but apparently it isn't open to view. But all I got out of it was the way it mirrors the script of the Amazon series Jericho. He's a veteran also. One thing I've learned about veterans is that a large number of them can't see past that fake patriotism and American exceptionalism. And they mostly fall upon party divisional lines like the rest and buy into the fake news of the side they support. Apparently, this guy may be a conservative. And he shows all the indications of being indoctrinated into a lot of their rhetoric from mis/disinformation. I'm not wasting my time attempting to address him or make sense of him. He should stick to saving coffee in the freezer. I have to admit, that was great foresight.
You'd think that only Newsom by his statements would be the first to have a desire for advancement up the latter with power intentions that we'd have to be concerned with. We've had many before him, and we have one now that wasn't even a governor. But that's how the reward system works in the US. But know my agenda here and the history of the country. First you'd have to overpower the oligarch system in place to achieve the measures he's suggesting. They all work for that power structure. Even Trump whether it's from the outside or inside. Newsom doesn't have and isn't going to have the power to overthrow that power structure. And neither does Trump. Despite all the talk he's actually helping that power structure. Nothing like that would happen unless that power structure lures us into a nuclear war which that scenario could become possible afterwards. Worse case scenario that is of course. Best off, is that we become a fractional union of larger states that gain intellectual governing from genuine citizenships who no longer desire to be controlled by fascist power structures. Sadly, it appears it may take a nuclear war to reach that moment.
I'll add one more thing I seen mentioned. The Trump -- Putin summit is simply another act of theater. Both have a role to play within it. It's what the world has been indoctrinated into and now expects from the rulers of countries. They play get along until they don't get along. And then recycling that game over and over. It's food for every citizenship. It's food for the medias. The intellectual members of citizenships have one responsibility in being a part of the game. The same responsibility I preach here on a repeated cycle. Holding the ability to decipher the bullshit from the reality. Know history and previous results from that history. Putin spoke truthful history. Trump spoke a mixture of that with illusions. Illusions on top of illusions.
He claimed the war would never have happened if he was president. What's Trump's time line of the war? 2014 or 2022. Before Zelensky or after? You can't genuinely separate the 2 time lines or presidencies of Ukraine. And there's 3 in each category. In which Trump filled 4 years of between 2 other presidents of each country involved. In which he never addressed ending the initial war to prevent the delusional start of a supposed 2nd war. So he's a fucking liar who continued to help the 2nd war come to fruition however anyone wants to see it. It only became a stop issue after the west got their asses handed to them and strengthen Russia that Trump is now playing a mascaraed show in stopping. I'm not buying the show yet. Why? Well, lets talk about this democracy and sovereignty that Ukraine is supposed to have and want to save. IT DOESN'T FUCKING EXIST! You stated a good deal of the reasons it doesn't exist. Zelensky has never had a voice in the matter. His voice going into his election win never matched his actions after the election win. It was never suppose to or going to. Ukraine is being ran by 3 groups of entities. The fascist that were installed into the government by Obama, Biden, and Nuland. Still there in the government and military. And they are essentially being ran by their own and western oligarchs. Fascist in their own right. The MIC, Banking, and their intelligence agencies. That make up the deep state with all the corporations that come along with it who are the primary benefactors. The fact that Zelensky isn't involved in some of the summits, spends most of his time jetting around to foreign countries making theater appearances, should indicate to any one with half a brain who follows reliable news sources that he isn't running the country. The entire scope of matters of Ukraine have been dictated and orchestrated from the moment Viktor Yanukovych was overthrown in 2014 by outside forces. Including the lead up to the overthrow that he couldn't stop.
@William_Mary I think the summit was very important for Russia. I don't think Ukraine was really a topic at all, but NATO sure was. They know Trump lacks empathy and is very vain and are very wary of nukes. They know he wants his place in history, illustrated by his desire for a Nobel gong. I think arms control, ballistic and nukes and probably drones was high on their agenda. They want diplomacy again with the USA, someone to talk too. Relations needed to be normalised and the first step needed to be taken.
They are Eastern culture and saving face is a very real thing in those societies, so with "business" always want to have a "win win" so all look good. They had to give Trump a win, I think that's why "Ukraine would never had happened with Trump" statement from Putin. Also, a win for Trump is a Nobel and arms control a very logical way to get one. Putin brushed his ego and used his vanity, he played the psycho. But so does the deep state as you say. Think all have worked him out.
Trump's body language suggested he knows the real situation in Ukraine eg Russia has won, so Russia is helping to devise him a face saving off ramp. Some thing he can boast about. It will be at the expense of NATO me thinks. I think Putin is happy for Trump to claim all the credit as long the situation cools right down. He is not vain like Trump. Russian leaders do not care about playing media games and short term popularity..
When did Ukraine start? I can't decide if it was 2008, when GW first floated the idea, or just after 9/11, when that General got the list of 7 countries that were to be "regime changed". Nuland was a constant in all this. Clinton was the one who started expanding NATO back in 97 I think.
The empire is dying, can't be stopped. But ironically, both China and Russia don't want a world without America, they just want America to pull their head in regarding the sovereignty and independence of nations, which has to happen in a multi polar world. They want a default world currency that can't be weaponised on the whims of one nation..
The acceleration of the demise of US power is not Trump (admittedly he's not helping ). It is Israel and I think the whole "West" will go down with that last colony leading us. Zionist Isreal, fascism personified. One thing Russians will not tolerate, fascists. BRICS nations are finally starting to address the Israeli issue, been far too slow imo but have to be careful. Nukes.
@puff
"Why had the US banned them for 10 whole years? LEAHY's law, totally ignored for Israel."
Because unsurprisingly people (especially elected officials and appointees) are often morons... Also like I predicted Azov has ended the incursion and at present has taken a lot of Russian NAZIs prisoners as well as causing huge numbers of causalities... At last report they have around 1,000 Orcs surrounded being given the choice of surrender or death...
Well, they were warned. I'm good with my lower price on my coffee through the end of February but after that I know the price will be more unless the tariffs come off. I've been buying the same brand for about 8 years, whole beans, organic, it is soooooooooooo good!!
I did stock up on a few things in cans and bottles but things live extra virgin first pressing can't be stocked up for to far out, nothing worse than old olive oil or any sort.
This again is a smoke screen to keep folks focus on what he is really up to - looting the money of America. Billions are flowing into his coffers from the wealthy and corporations. Military industrial complex and pollution producer are unbridled and ready to have at it.
I'm so tired of stupid people.
I've been stocking up, too. Recently I couldn't find the lotion I thought I'd bought so I stocked up again ... then I found it so now I have 13 jars of it! Food may eventually be slim pickens but I'll have soft skin for quite a while! lolz!
His followers may be stupid but they're also self-involved so I expect they won't be able to tolerate empty shelves as well as we do. When they turn, they'll turn hard.
This is what government for business interests rather than people interests look like. Our government just as bad, you even tariff us and Europe, doing it the hardest from Russian sanctions. I don't know any Australian who will buy your beef, banned due to biosecurity; we don't have cattle diseases on this little island of ours. But we kowtow to the empire, do as we are told. The USA own us, we are not a sovereign country.
@puff Australia has mighty tasty organic grass fed beef.
@silverotter11 Yes, a big export industry. I live near Rockhampton, "the Beef Capital". Big abattoirs here, 100% exported o/s, us locals see nothing and it's the prime meat. A lot goes to Japan I know.
@puff Where I live the farmers grow a lot of Timothy hay. It's prime hay, emerald green and it goes to Japan. A little bit to the race track over in Seattle, but most goes to Japan. Apparently the soil helps make the difference in the color, or something, but it's very nice looking hay.
Nutrional content is exactly the same if we get an unusual rain after harvest while it's still drying but it loses that emerald green color and the Japanese do not want it so the horses and cattle here in the U.S. get a treat.
@puff, @Lauren and whilst he distracts you with his tariffs Trump continues supporting, arming & funding the Israeli Jews genocide of Palestinians in Gaza, Muslims & Christians in Syria, Lebanon & Iran. This is not something that has occurred since October 7th,2023.
Disproving that Hamas started the Israeli Jews genocide of Palestinians on October 7th, 2023 is today's piece from the Free Palestine Group. It identifies that Judaism & its rabbi's have been indoctrinating Jews world wide for 3000 years in the idea of the Palestinian genocide. A fact openly & publicly confirmed by the psycopath Netanyahu about 28th October 2023.
Netanyahu admits he is waging a ‘spiritual war’ to fulfil th
vision of Greater Israel
Unwilling to look beyond material analysis, even supposedly independent commentators have almost
completely blanked out the very overt religious nature of Israeli terrorism in Gaza.
Three weeks into the ongoing genocide of the Palestinians in Gaza, which began on October 7, 2
Netanyahu took to the airwaves and told Israelis without any ambiguity
[open.substack.com]
@FrayedBear Preaching to the converted with me.
@puff, @Lauren, @silverotter11 "Australia has mighty tasty organic grass fed beef." Largely for export as Australians won't pay the price that aliens will!
@Lauren, @silverotter11, @puff this new definition of intelligence will not eradicate stupidity but will help in preventing it.
Please spread the concept far & wide.
@Lauren, @puff, @silverotter11 For instance if the above concept had been applied 80 years ago not only would there have been no Hiroshima & Nagasaki tragedies but no Vietnam, Korean, Iraq, Afghanistan, Ukrainian wars & no thalidomide, obesity, rotten teeth from Kellogg's cornflakes, covid, & a raft of other issues.
@FrayedBear Why science also need philosophers.
Or Human knowledge needs philosophers not driven by material wealth but driven by improving the human condition..
@puff please help spread far & wide.
@FrayedBear preaching to the choir, talked with my Dad in the mid 1980s about that all that stuff. My kid sister was also there at one of our longest chats, we were in agreement but my twin was almost in tears trying to defend reagan. Even today she is a MAGA supporter, Christian nutter and really fucking annoying and stupid as is a large percentage of Americans and they do not want to be educated. Murdock brought his brand of bullshit marketing to America so there is that. Greed did the rest.
@silverotter11 at least it gives you a hard definition of intelligence to aspire to or simply be identified as stupid like the Israeli Jews & MAGATS! . . . Do them & the world a favour & lobotomise the lot of them.
More Trump in his infinite wisdom decided to tariff about the only country the US had a trade surplus with, Brazil, to fight BRICS. So China jumped in to buy all coffee from them.
Not only is there more tea in China..........................
Very expensive in Australia too.
Did you see how a $50 million bounty was put on a head of state's head by the US, Maduro in Venezuela? Love his response. He's offered a $50 million reward for release of the Epstein files.
This is what pisses all off about the US. No diplomacy, just demands. And the utter hypocrisy eg was a rumour Iran put a hit on Trump and he goes apeshit, but ok to celebrate pagers and drone assassinations.
Trump said recently that Ukraine has lost 8000 this year and Russia 120000. Now if those are the figures US spooks are feeding him to con him to take on Russia...........Some are going to be in for a big surprise. You just need look at recent exchanges of the fallen eg a lot more Ukrainian bodies handed over than Russian ones.
Actually, coffee is becoming big in China right now. And I just seen a video where Sachs claims the number of dead in Ukraine is now over 600,000. And they wonder why nearly 300,000 won't return home. And they have to further risk the lives of troops on the front to keep soldiers from fleeing east. The report I got was they actually had to send Azov back to the front lines to try and capture those abandoning their post. Several hundred to over a thousand are dying each day now. Russia is moving west pretty much at will into abandoned cities and towns. Sadly, they're also running into basements of dead where the Ukrainians tossed grenades to kill citizens before they retreat.
@William_Mary Seen reports the Azov battalion got ambushed and are now non functional. As you can imagine they were the #1 target for Russian forces. Just can't mass troops in modern warfare. Don't think NATO quite get that yet.
What used to be a $60 grocery run for me is now $100 or more! I started eating out instead and that is also expensive! These tariffs are fucking us and the stupid sheep of the twatwaffle are cheering this on!
The stupid sheep somehow think this is all "owning the libs" and go with it because America was founded as a Republic. That justifies what Trump is doing in their minds and they believe he will work it out in the end.
When I shopped this week, every single item had increased by at least 15% and usually more. It was crazy! What really pisses me off is the way the stores are being their typical opportunistic selves and increasing prices for items that aren't impacted by the tarrifs - they seem to be doing it for every item across the board. Stupid shits.
@DenoPenno They don't realize that they're a part of the con, but oh well they keep looking stupid!
@michelle666gar Well FAFO, right? I can't believe how many of them bent the knee so quickly ...
@Lauren They're all in a cult, we see how easily they bend for their religion and now to the twatwaffle.
